Clearly, it was devised through an absolute adoration for a game that, unfortunately, never actually got to see an audience – a subset of gamers not only long-anticipating the arrival of a new Silent Hills experience, but also a horror title made by the likes of such a superior coalescence of talented individuals. Nixon provides little extra context as to how the video was made and what went into its creation.

The PT concept video finds its culmination as the camera steps into a familiar stairway leading down to where Norman Reedus's character first wakes up in the initial experience. Just around the corner, however, is yet another Silent Hill beast from the otherworld, an amalgamation of human body parts with all but a giant hand as its most defining aspect. The centipede monstrosities slither casually through the walls as if being warped through tiny black holes in the wallpaper. The ever-familiar hallway, which has plagued many fans' minds since the title's debut and soon-thereafter departure, is shown in all of its wild brilliance. Only a PT concept video could ever dream up such nightmare-inducing, foul-like imagery. A door, which had been opened by a rubber ball moving on its own accord, slams closed on a being holding its own head as centipedal horrors crawl out mindlessly from its gaping mouth. Though it has a relatively short runtime of a little less than two minutes, the PT concept trailer still doesn't hesitate to evoke a sense of awe and dread mixed in with those otherworldly machinations provided only by the Silent Hill aesthetic. The video is almost as old as the game itself, having been uploaded six years ago. RELATED: If You’re Missing P.T., Why The Heck Haven’t You Played Suite 776? If you thought PT was scary, wait till the mind-numbing horror of this video unfolds in full before you.

Even so, few (if any) gamers can still enjoy this terrifying hallway of grotesquery and madness, but it can be experienced vicariously through a concept trailer provided by YouiTube creator Nixon. Merging the minds of Hideo Kojima, Guillermo del Toro, Junji Ito, and the aesthetic of the classic Team Silent, PT now remains an icon in the video game industry and arguably the greatest horror title that never was.
